Who will be my child’s Counselor?
Camp can be one of the most magical memories of a person’s life. Camp Change does everything in our power (and send up a lot of prayers) to allow for camp to be one of the highlights in our campers’ lives. We recruit and train college-aged students who love God and love working with kids. We also ask them many questions and perform background checks. Two college-aged students are assigned to each cabin along with a Counselor in Training. In addition to the cabin counselors, there are also Cabin Directors that oversee the Counselors and students throughout the day. When campers participate in the various recreational activities, there are activity leaders assigned to each station. Certified lifeguards work at the pool and lake. Additionally, the archery and ropes course leaders are certified by professional agencies.
What are Interest Groups?

Expect a spirit filled atmosphere. The leaders of the camp are praying right now for God to move during Camp Change, especially during the worship time. Chris Gibson will lead the camp in both familiar and new praise songs. The camp speakers, will team teach each night and deliver a message that is focused around scripture, not popular opinion. The music and message will last approximately one hour. It is not necessary to wear dress clothes to worship.

Where is Camp Change located?
A unique aspect of Camp Change is that we are not confined to one camp ground. Our group travels to different sites in order to host camp in different areas. Many camps choose to offer facilities but not plan or organize the events of camp. These camps are called facility providers. They need groups like Camp Change to rent their facilities and plan, organize, and lead during the weeks of camp. This partnership allows for better camping experiences and more effectiveness in reaching the world for Christ through camping ministry.

We recommend that campers bring $20-$50 for snacks and the camp store. Each camper is responsible for keeping up with his own money. If there is an emergency, you may call: (817) 403-3237. Please make sure this is an emergency before you call. Separation Anxiety does not qualify as an emergency J.
May my child take a cell phone to camp?
Our mission at Camp Change is to provide an environment where the distractions of this world are removed. One way to remove distractions is by not allowing campers to bring cell phones. When a camper brings a cell phone, he will be tempted to text his friends about the fun he is having. That is great; however, it puts his focus somewhere outside of camp.
If my child cannot take a cell phone, than can she call home?
Our desire is for the camper’s focus to be on what God is trying to tell them while they are at camp. This is why we do not allow kids to call home. Also, by not allowing cell phones, we prevent a lot of homesickness that sometimes occurs in campers. Please know that if there is a serious problem, a camp staff person will contact you.
What if my child gets homesick?
Our staff is trained to help kids through their homesickness. Most kids do not get home sick. We find that it is the parents that get kid sick. Nevertheless, sometimes there are children who are unable to overcome homesickness. We will contact you, if this happens. However, we ask that you understand you will not receive a refund, if you remove your child from camp because of homesickness.
